You know, I don't think I'd like Cara calling Joe 'Dad' if she was my daughter either. Then again, I don't have much faith in relationships. But really, they're both very young. Young relationships rarely last. High school sweethearts that stay together are so rare. Joe has no biological ties to Cara, no actual claim to her. If their relationships were to go down the tubes at some point and Keeley were granted custody Cara probably wouldn't see Joe again and in the end that would just hurt her.

Believe me. I know. I've experienced that before.

Anyway, like every other reader I caught Joe calling Cara his daughter and, once again, I don't think that's really a good thing. Basically for the same reason above, only he'll be the one getting hurt. I really just think it's a little inappropriate.

BUT STILL, I enjoyed the chapter.

Author's Response: I can appreciate that point of view as it's Keeley's as well, but if Joe agreed with everything Keeley said, there wouldn't be much point in a story, now would there? And Joe doesn't intentionally call her his daughter. It was something that he says subconsciously, that neither he nor Nick really catches. And in you're personal experience that's happened, but my sisterinlaw is still very close with her mother's first boyfriend after her father left them. He stepped in and really helped take care of Nicole and her brother because her mother was *coughiscough* very unstable at the time. So, in experiences I know of, it doesn't always end badly. I'm not saying Joe and Keeley would stay together in real life, but they could still stay friends and Joe and Cara's bond coudl stay. But thank you for your honesty, and I'm glad you at least still liked it. :)

I got excited when you updated i did a little dance lol not really but almost did...

I absolutely love this story...its so good

I love Joe and Keeley together and they way Joe is with Cara is absolutely precious

When he was talking to Nick about the t-shirt metaphor and Joe said
"You just compared my daughter to a t-shirt,”

that was the sweetest and cutest thing I heard from him

He really loves her like his own and that is amazing...i hope everything works out for all of them

Alright, well, I got caught up in the story and was too eager to review for the first five chapters, but I'm reminding myself now. I've been reading this for... less than an hour and I'm already a little addicted. It's very well written, in my opinion. I've seen a couple grammar mistakes, but nothing that I haven't done before. Hell, I've done worse. And, in case you didn't get the point already, I'm definitely enjoying it. I've been in a situation a little bit like Keeley's and I have to say, I know exactly how it feels. Only I was thirteen at the time and it was my mother and I together who were taking care of the baby. She slept with me and I fed her and took care of her. I got very attached. Unfortunately, we couldn't keep her. Fortunately, she got to go back to her mother who shaped up. Anyway, I'm rambling now. And I'm anxious for the next chapter, so I bid my adieus, for now, at least.

Please update soon as you can. I have been checking this page everyday to see if you have posted another chapter. I love this story, its plot, and just the way you tell it to us - I'm not a huge fan of the Jonas Brothers but for this story I can handle it :) You captivate their emotions so well and the storyline as well as the mini ones are believable, you make them believable in your writing.
