Author's Chapter Notes:

Took an oath I'm a stick it out till the end
Now that it's raining more than ever
Know that we still have each other
You can stand under my umbrella
You can stand under my umbrella

Sorry I’m so late guys AHHHHHHH, so sorry I’m hyper and tired at the same time, so bear with me lol.

I woke up and looked at the clock to my right, it was four in the morning and I knew my uncle wanted me to do my chores before school started at seven.

I gently got up and heard a strange sound coming from the bathroom, it was Jessica throwing up, and the tiny bump under her shirt told me she was pregnant.

“Jessica, are you pregnant?” I whispered.

“Now, it’s none of your business is it?” She sneered.

It was four in the morning and I was in no mood to fight, I grabbed my mop and mopped the whole floor, then I washed all the dirty dishes which I didn’t even get to eat from, vacuumed the floor, and fed the cats and dogs.

After feeding Jessy the cat, my uncle slapped me.

“Next time, make sure you cook breakfast for the family.” He shouted. I gently shook my head yes.

“Now you worthless piece of nothing go upstairs and get dressed for school, don’t even bother taking a shower and wasting our clean water.”

I ran upstairs knowing I only had five minutes to get ready for school.

“Looking for this?” my cousin asked.

Jessica threw my school clothes on the floor, turns out she made holes in all my outfits. I didn’t say a word, I just picked up the clothes from the floor and took them to my room.

I looked in the mirror and started to cry. “be strong.” I whispered to myself.

Flashback ****

“Your mom is not going to make it, the cancer has gotten too far.”  The doctor shouted.

“No, you’re lying!”  I shouted back.

My dad gently placed his hands on my back, and kissed my forehead.

“Daddy.” I whispered.

“It’s ok baby.” He replied.

End of Flashback****

I couldn’t take a shower, and I smelled bad, my cousin ripped all my clothes, my parents are dead, and no one cares.

I grabbed my back pack, my cousin got a ride in their cute car, and I had to stand in the rain to catch the school bus.

“Goodbye uncle.” I shouted.

“Don’t talk to me, and go outside to catch the bus.” He replied.

The weather outside reminded me of back home, the way the wind was blowing through my hair, the way my brown hair looked like chocolate, the way my blue eyes popped out.

I couldn’t get lost in my imagination because before I knew it the bus had come to pick me up.

I stared at the bus driver, trying to study him, maybe get a clue of what type of guy he was.

“You gonna stay out’ in this er rain here lil lady.” The bus driver asked.

“no.”

“well, then get on.”

I could tell I wasn’t going to like this bus driver.

I looked around inside the bus, most seats were taken, except for one, as I made my way to the seat, people started shouting comments at me.

“Ew, take a bath.”

“your ugly.”

“what planet are you from.”

I could tell, I will hate school, and my after school job at the Jonas’s doesn’t sound easy.
